Is it a Rover garage ? The cylinder liners have got to be right or it will leak again .

not a rover garage, how can all the water go into the engine within seconds?no warning lights of any kind , just dies and some steam coming from engine..... put more water into car same again just goes into engine after running for a few mins

As previously suggested liner issue ,or crack in head or gasket again ,smoke test may help to pinpoint the issue.
