Rover 45 if my car does'nt start first time it won't start without a push.

when you turn the key there's a spark and the engine starts.if it doesn't ,the next time you turn the key the starter motor turns the engine but no spark.i have to push start.this could happen more than once a day.

Many possible causes , could check all earths , starter connections . Get battery , alternator output tested .If still not right get starter motor checked .
