Rover 45 heater blowing hot and cold

the heater has started to blow cold when turned to hot it seems when driving it gets hot but when i stop blows cold.
all fans speeds work i have replace all the resistors.is there a sensor to control this
the temp gauge reads normal and there seems to be no air lock when i bled the system any help please thanks

First thing to check is coolant level ,and if o.k , try bleeding system .Then check heater control valve and hoses through bulkhead into heater matrix. If still having probs , try flushing through matrix .
