Speedo not working although everything else works.Tried another set of clocks and another speedo transducer. No good. It's getting expensive now!! Taken the transducer off to see if the pickup in the gearbox is turning--it is. Does anyone know what the problem might be.Thanks.

Hi Not a solution but my 45 Petrol also has speedo problem, but I don't have a transducer fitted, I have bought one, thinking that was the problem, but it seems ther is another ''take off'' point on tob of the gearbox which feeds the speedo (i think) just two wires, blue and blue/white. When I disconected the wires the engine would not start!!
I have asked a few 'mechanics' in local area and they all said transducer--- but I 'aint got one!Going to chect the wiring diagrams to see if it can be sorted that way. Is there a another sensor inside the gearbox??
I would appreciate help cos I am using tom tom to give me speed indication.
