Rover 45 kangeroo even when the car is staionary

over the past 2 months my car has been in the garage.the ecu unit has been checked,an electrican has checked it completly over a coil has been replaced.the car starts ok then sometimes it will stutter without even pulling away.then sometimes when pulling off it will stutter then speed off.or sometimes it will stutter then die.its almost like it wants to go but cant.this problem doesnt happen all the time.it has only recently been serviced.had a new timeing belt on it.it is still in the garage now so any solutions would be grateful?

has the timing belt been correctly fitted? sounds like a timing issue to me. either that or the fuel pump relat box is playing up. is the rotor arm ok? i have had new fauly ones causing loads of problems with smooth running. hope this helps
