Haveing just bought a nice low mileage 1.8 Rover 45 we (the family) took it on a 1200 mile trip. All went well, the car was cumfy & economical. However one mnor proble occured in the shape of the engine management light comming on. The engine runs perfectly, no fluid loss, high temp.or stumbleing, I can't fault this cars runnig.
Question. How can I turn off the EML without paying a larg fee to an "expert" with a small box of trix?

sometimes disconnecting the battery for 10 mins can turn lights out. this doesnt always work ad if you do try it make sure you have the radio code 1st. but if there is a fault present the light will not go out and if no fault is there the light may go out after a certain lenth of time of the engine being turned on and off
