Rover 400 alarm goes off on own accord! seems to primarily happen within a few mins of locking car. help?

ECU at fault. common problem with the 400 series. the ECU takes a few mins to switch itself off. then also when internal timer is faulty, it turns itself back on, causing alarm to sound. also, at the same time it also powers up the fuel pump. so be carefull. get it fixed!!
