ive bought a new catch for the boot as thats what I was told it was but still doesnt work???????

i have had a few rovers in my time the last rover i had was the rover 600 with big exhust you needed a pilots licence to drive it, it went like a rockett problems i found with rovers where the windows would not shut.

i had a little rover 200 many yrs ago same problem with boot all i did was buy a boot lid off ebay and hey presto my boot shut.
then some sod bumped into the back end of me rover was wrote off ..

is the striker lining up with boot catch.does the boot catch close if you operate it with a screwdriver?

I had a problem that the boot wouldn't lock and it turned out to the spring sticking at the back of the key barrel. Just had to spray with WD40 and now works ok.
