Rover 25 wont start after running out of fuel

hi my car ran out of petrol the other week when i put fuel in it started first time but when i put my foot on the accelarator it chugged and cut out had to tow it home and it hasnt worked since it will start if i spray EASY START spray on it ? anybody any ideas plz as im thinking the fuel injectors may be blocked? thanks speako669

Sure you have put enough fuel in to re-prime the system ?
