Someone attempted to break into my car and have destroyed the key barrel which I am having replaced however the car alarm keeps going off now when I lock it and goes on for about 30 minutes. any advice on how to resolve this?

was it the drivers door lock that is damaged if so the door lock switch could have got damaged by the attempted theft this will cause alarm to go of worth checking
