Rover 25 hard time starting in the morning

My rover won't start when you turn the key, it turns but dose'nt kick in, fuel filter has been chaged, head gasket i have spark plugs, still to put in.
Some morning's it will start after i turn the key and pump the throttle a few times the try to start it, it will start (sometimes). please help

Try replacing spark plugs first. Then make sure all connections are complete and fitted correctly. Then maybe spray some damp start, but warm the engine up first...
