Rover 25 noise from water bottle

Car: Rover 25
Variant: MGZR 1.4 - 105 MODEL
Model Year: 2002

Please help.
I have a Rover MGZR.The problem started the other week. The car was driving fine then all of a sudden a noise came through the heater that sounded almost like a boiling noise.the car runs fine and is firing on all cylinders.there is no overheating either.i have bled the system as well.the heating blows hot and cold. The garage reckon the head gasket has gone but im not too sure.i noticed the other day when the filler cap was off the header bottle that water was being fed back into the bottle and this is when the noise starts.Stupidly i put my hand in the bottle to see if the water was hot.To my suprise is was only warm. And finally there are no signs of any water loss.

Any ideas?

Head gasket faults come in all shapes and sizes i think i would trust the garage on this one.

yes mate get the garage to do a block test on the car that is where they will put a burrette type syringe on to the header tank with a blue liquid and if this goes yellow you head gasket has gone sadly its common on the rovers will cost around £300 to sort
