Renault Scenic computer

displays check emmissions car drives normally at times and sometime goes into limp mode. Garage has had it on diagnostics but come up with nothing. Any ideas please?

i am assuming it is a petrol. May be a fault with a lambda sensor or may be fault with the cat.If no fault codes are present it may be worth having vehicle checked with a gas anaylyser

i suspect air leak at inlet or exhaust manifolds.or the exhaust itself.. check that out before condeming any engine management components.
with no trouble codes stored its likely to be un monitored. possibly mechanical. if this is a 1600cc twin cam engine then have the dephaser pully and actuator checked!!!
