Renault Scenic outside air tempature sensor reads 46 all the time

Model Year: 2012
The outside air tempature sensor reads 46c all the time,I beleive this sensor is built in to the near side door mirror, is it the small nipple looking thing under the mirror?.
Is this job fore an average DIYer, if so
could you please tell me how to remove the mirror with out breaking it, and is the sensor easy to remove and replace?.
Also could you recommend a site were I can purchase these parts, as my local Renault garage would not supply the part without a fitting it.

That is correct, under mirror . Case of easing out glass . Very unusual parts dept . wont order part .
