Renault Scenic cuts out sometimes on tick over will start only after standing about 1hr

car has done 116000 miles and at times cuts out and wont start again unless it stands for about 1hr then starts first time and runs ok have been told it could be the thermall plunger relay could anyone tell me where i can find this on the car as stated this only happens on tick over occassionally
