check the idle control valve wiring and check the valve itself isnt sticking by taking it out its located on the inlet manifold on the right hand side held in with 2 screws it will be black and cylinder shaped also check vacumn hoses for leaks with engine running listen for air leak(hissing noise)

Could anyone advise me where the idle control valve is located on my 2004 Renault Scenic as I cannot see it on top of the engine under the bonnet.

I have now been told by a mechanic at a Renault Main Dealer that my Scenic does not have an Idle Control Valve.
Is this correct and if so what else could it be.
