Car: Renault Scenic
Model Year: 2004

i have had my scenic for about 3 years now and have never had this problem before. the emissions light is on constantly. it has been taken off twice by garage who serviced it and he said it was just the sensor but also my battery keeps draining overnight even if i turn everything off and disarm the alarm.it has recently had ignition coil replaced but sometimes chuggs as if its misfiring and sometimes cuts out. any ideas woukd be appreciated

Re. battery draining , first thing I would do is get battery tested .Could be dud cell which won't hold charge . Might also be worthwhile getting alternator output tested also .Simple tests ,most accessory shops , fast fit centres do f.o.c while you wait . That would eliminate a couple of possibilities , though you would think it would show up on car as a fault .If the garage say the sensor is faulty , can't see any answer other than replacing .
