Renault Scenic instrument cluster failure

Car: Renault Scenic
Variant: 1.6 Expression
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Leaks & Noises
For several days now the instrument cluster has been resetting itself until it eventually died! I've seen various forums where people have experienced the same problem and posted possible fixes but no one has described how to actually remove the cluster panel.
Is there anyone out there that can detail the removal procedure?
