2000 Renault Scenic cutting out

Engine cut out while driving at 30/40 as I coasted to the kerb engine fired up. This happened 3 times in succession in then seemed to clear and drove normally. Parked up over night. Started ok and drove 5 miles no problem, hit heavy slow moving traffic and while stationary engine cut out . Took 4 /5 goes on starter for it to fire up, carried on with journey without problems.
If it's one of the sensors which is the more likely one and where is it. Thanks

Few suggestions if not been done for a while would be to check / change plugs and fuel filter .Also clean idle air control valve and throttle body .
