Renault Scenic will not turn over

Car: Renault Scenic
Variant: 1.4 Dynamique
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The Scenic has been idle since before Christmas and the Batery has run down. I have now recharged the Battery twice but the Car has not started. Key Card in and recognised, push the start button but nothing is happening, I get a message saying the oil pressure is low and sometimes saying the auto handbrake is faulty, then I get told to remove the key, once I have pressed start the Radiator Fan starts spinning and continues after I take out the Key. It is further complicated by the fact that it is very difficult to connect Jump leads to the Battery.

Any suggestions??

Although very difficult to use jump leads, it`s probably the place to start (excuse the pun!!).
If it still won`t turn over, check and spray wd40 on all the electrical connections ie. starter; earths etc.

The problem turned out to be the following;

A wire or two were found to be cracked in the Multi-core Cable which runs in front of the Battery to the ECU.

I am inclined to wonder if I caused this myself due to the starting procedure on the Car. i.e. insert the Key Card then press Start- I did this a number of times but because the Car did not Start I just removed the Key Card without pressing again to Stop the Car. Doing it in the manner I did,I wonder did I leave a circuit charged and consequently burned the Wiring causing the break. Any thoughts on same??
