my electric sun roof will not close. There is no sound coming from it when i turn the knob.

Assuming that it is Electric - have you checked the Fuse to see if it is ok. If it looks ok - I would put in an exaxt replacement and try the roof again. This will allow you to rule out the Fuse as an issue if the response from the roof is the same as before.
