Seems to be a common fault , here is an example .

Unfortunately I wish I had some good news for you but unfortunately this is a dash fault and Renault are paying towards them being replaced - i have just had mine done and i had to make a 100GBP payment to Renault for the privilege.

It first starts with the clock resetting all the time, then your mileage reverts to zero, then it all goes blank – so you are really at the early stages of the fault. It’s a common fault at starts happening at around 53k miles.

Thank you for that information. If this is a common 'design' fault I don't see how Renault have the cheek to ask for payment to fix it? However, thank you.
