how to take off the driver side door linning to enable fitting a new mirror

Most door cards are pretty straight forward.
Look for screws around the lower tray,
Look for screws on each end of the pull handle
Usually there is one screw in the centre or the door opener
Some door cards gave screws around the outside which can be seen when the door is open.
Then usually all that is left is invisible clips, just pull carefully on the doorcard and they should pop off. Some may break but are cheap to replace,
Some door card clips may need a special door card tool.
