automatic car came to park car,went to car later and car stuck in park,engine starts but cannot move lever out of park

Check if brake lights working , if not may be faulty switch at brake pedal .On some of the Renaults at / under gear shift there was a release button switch . Pressing this release button usually lets the gear shifter move from its locked/jammed position.

found release button and released it but will still not go into gear

Is the lever now moving but car wont drive ? If so , check linkage / shifter cable .
