Renault Megane car makes a rubbing noise when i turn corners

Car: Renault Megane
Model Year: 1999
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Every time I turn corners the car makes a rubbing sound, the person I bought it of insists he had the whole front section had new cv joints not a year ago but whenever I turn it does it, and from what im told you can't tell if cv joints are new or not until you basically take them of , then they will be no good, so id rather find out if it could be anything else before I spend a small fortune on peace of mind

Check to see if the tyres are catching on anything when on full lock first.

Could be brake pad rubbing or back plate . Check for wear / play at wheels .Easy to check C/V joints for wear by holding joint and twisting shaft .Check driveshaft rubber boots for wear .
