Renault Laguna alarm problems

car locks fine with keycard, somedays when go back to car, it unlocks no problem, then when put keycard in and start engine the alarm goes off, this happens for maybe 6-9 times then alarm stops and i can drive away !!! any ideas what is wrong ! plz and thank u

It could be the card reader is dirty or its internal micro-switch is suspect You could try giving it a vacuum with a narrow nozzle to clean. It might be wirthwhile taking it out and giving it a clean with electrical switch cleaner. They can collect dust and fluff etc.
