Hi, by what you are saying the coolant temperature sensor for the injection has failed - it is located at the right hand side of the cylinder head as you look from front of car and will either be black with black connector or biege/white with white connector - common fault with these is internal corrosion from water in cooling system it is no doubt stuck reading 60+ degrees and so you will not notice running problems after the car is warm.
