Renault Laguna gear stick feels as if it has come of the gear box.

The gear stick has gone floppy as if it has come off the gearbox, the car is stuck in 4th gear.Does this mean i need a new gear box or can the gear stick be re-attached?

Sounds like gear selector cable / linkage problem .

Thx for your reply mate,butis it fixable or am i looking at a new gearbox?

Not a major job if that is fault , easy fixed and g/box not needed .
