Renault Laguna condensation on front window

Car: Renault Laguna
Variant: 19 dci expression
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hello please forgive if I dont do this right as Im new to this, but find the site very helpfull.
The condensation on the front window thing happened to my Laguna (55plate)last night for the first time. I am hoping it was a dream and its fixed itself overnight, but reading other posts I think not. Is this a problem I can fix myself with a little help or is it a garage job. I will check for damp inside the car this morning as mentioned in other post.
Thks.

Welcome to forum . You should check first for any dampness in car interior .If o.k , could check pollen filter , especially if not been changed recently . This from Renault site ,explains where pollen filter is .

Re: Renault Megane 1 - Excessive Condensation

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure about the Laguna but mine is the Laguna II and the filter is behind the glove box.

If you open the glove box you will see 1 screw securing interior. Once the screw has been removed look for four cut outs in the glove box bottom right and left and top left and right. these can be prised up with a screw driver and the trim removed, behind there you will see the pollen filter casing.

The filter gradually clogs up over time so that is why you could have had no problem last year.

There are other possible causes but you could check these first and get back to forum if still having probs . Hope this helps you .

Another thing you could check is that you have the controls set to outside air and not recirculated air , sometimes helps .

i suspect if you have a/c moisture is due to evaporator frosting.check drain tube also as may be blocked.

I had a similar problem with a 55 plate Laguna Sport Estate 120BHP. It turned out to be a faulty heater matrix. A very expensive 'dash out' job. Wrote to Renault as the car was only a month outside the 3 year warranty. They refunded the costs for parts and I was left with only the labour costs.

The moral of the story is always complain to the manufacturer.....................
