Renault Laguna aircon fault

Car: Renault Laguna
Variant: 18 16v expression
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi bit of an odd one but i have a laguna 2 with standard air con not climate control. Just before christmas i had it re gased and the garage had it working in their workshop, got the vehicle home and the air con didnt work.

5 days later air temperature went up to +7 and air con started working, and was working when required.
Now temperature has dropped down again to +4 and below the air con has stopped working again.
Ive had the gas checked and there is no leak and the buttons are fully functional but the radiator fan is not coming on and i can not hear the clutch engaging.
Has anyone got any ideas please?
Renualt have said there could be a pressure valve at fault or a sensor?
Air con seems to work fine in warm weather?

Thanks

Your aircon wont funtion when the ambient temperature is this low(usually between +3 and +5).This is normal and not a fault. I find it hilarious that renault didnt tell you this

Funny you should say that. As someone ells told me the same thing and i asked the question to Renault and they said that it sould work no matter what the temp is.
