Hi,
I have had the exact same problem last October.
I looked at everything and even the big blue resistor on the side of the motor.
Finally I took the motor out (4 screws then unturn the plastic casing).
Very easy to come out. Then carefully take the motor as much as you can apart.
You will find that water has been coming inside from the engine compartment and probably damaged the motor. You will probably find leaves as well.
Once you have your motor opened, try to clean the brushes. You will find that on one side it looks like it's burnt. Try to clean as much as possible. Use a screwdriver to scrap the oxydation you see.
Rotate the motor by hand few times. Plug it back and check it's working.
If I have time, I will take pictures for you.
Let me know if working.
