Renault Kangoo wheel wobble

Car: Renault Kangoo
Variant: 1.5 dci
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hello there, When braking and under normal driving conditions I have a wobble coming up thru the steering wheel, when braking the wobble becomes a shudder that goes througfh the whole car. The wobble is very slight under normal driving conditions. The problem started when a budget tyre I had fited went out of shape quite badly, and I made two longish journey without doing anything about it. There is some slight movement in the steering joints if I jack the car up and give the wheels a wiggle, also a slight tapping noise when I wiggle the steering wheel from side to side quickly. I have been advised to change the ball joint by the chap[ at the motor factor and than move on top the brake discs, purley on basis of price of the parts.

Thanks for you time in advance.

Hi m8 does sound like your brake disc`s....as it does it when your brakeing....it would happen if they are worn but rember to change the pad`s as well

for what these items cost from the factors you would be better to change the track rod ends and the discs and pads and the bottom ball joints and doing this will stiffen up the kangoo again and try to avoid cheap tyres
