Renault Kangoo driver door open sensor

Whilst driving or parked and locked the door open warning light comes on and if locked the alarm goes off I am assuming it is the sensor on the drivers door because if you open the door and slam it shut the light goes out the problem is I cant find any info on where the sensor is or if it is the problem, Please help it is driving me mad

Normally somewhere on the inner door frame/body,
Round about knee height on the "A" pillar if I remember right.
So as when the door closes it's depressed.

Thanks for the answer but it doesn't have a switch anywhere on the door or a pillar that is the problem. I was wondering if it was integrated with the locking mechanism or a magnetic switch somewhere

Well normally a button switch covered in rubber or plastic,
Same switch usually operates the dome lamp when the door is opened.
Granted it's been a while since I've worked on a Kangoo but as I recall the switch is around the check strap on the A pillar.
If you punch in Kangoo door switch into Ebay at least you'll get a look at one.
