Renault Kangoo filler cap and side door not opening

Car: Renault Kangoo
Variant: Van
Model Year: 2007
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
The sliding rear door will not unlock and open, I believe that it is related to a magnet and reed valve in the petrol filler cap, designed to stop the sliding door opening when the filler cap is removed - they overlap.
In previous posts I have read that disconnecting a wiring plug will disable the function and enable the door to unlock. Please advise where I will find the relevant wiring, is it behind the interior boot light ?
Many thanks in advance
