Renault Kangoo intermmitent cutting out

Car: Renault Kangoo
Variant: 1.5 diesel
Model Year: 1995
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My Renault kangoo1.5 diesel drives well but suddenly cuts out, turn the key and it drives as though nothing had happened, but can cut out in less than a 100 yrds or 5 miles
I have had it into 3 different garages, but they can not find anything wrong

My usual suspect in these is the CRANK ANGLE SENSOR
Unfortunately difficult to diagnostically check unless it's gone faulty at the time.
And it won't show up as a fault code as the cars ECU just "thinks" the key's been turned off.

I have EXACTLY the same problem, but my Kangoo is a 2006 1.6 petrol auto. Driving me crazy. Recentlynoticed that the throttle body spindle does not rotate smoothly when the problem is happening. So, our current thinking is that it is the 'fly by wire " system - either the sender unit at the throttle pedal OR the receiving unit at the throttle body. Anybody replaced these parts?
