Renault Kangoo knock from front driver side

Variant: 1.5 dci van
Model Year: 2005

knock when slowing or coasting but when I brake it sometimes stops could it be a constant velocity joint if not what else could it be has anyone else come across this fault.

you need to check the suspension on that side and also make sure brake caliper is secure etc

its not going to be that as its only when driving or slowing as ive recently had a complete brake change on the front end including new discs and it was fine for weeks after that's why I think it could be to do with the drive coupling

but was everything tightened up correctly on that side??

I would suggest that you check the ball joint....

I have had an issue with a ballpoint on a Renault making a noise and it came and went with braking ,there was only very slight play in it but obviously enough to cause an issue .
