Renault Espace handbrake

Car: Renault Espace
Variant: 2.0 tdi
Model Year: 2007
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & LightsSteering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & TyresRunning Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Espace has had a handbrake fault for years, however the handbrake works great and our garage believes it is the switch. Tried replacing but second hand switch had a fault and would not work at all. Car now says check handbrake, check ESP, check ABS and has gone into limp mode. When faults cleared by garage the issue goes away for a bit. Our garage believes it is in the wiring loom somewhere, which means it will inevitably stop working altogether.
There is also an earthing fault when main lights on and brake is pushed the rear lights on left in out.
It has not been to renault.
Any other suggestions please?

If it's being doing it for two years and you are fitting s/hand parts , also has other lighting problems , can only suggest you get it scanned with Renault compatible equipment for fault codes .
