abs light stays on no other been told its ecu unit any thing else I can try first as told these can cost me up to 500.00 for new one. also door locks don't all work again any thoughts on these problems will be gratefully recieved

Really hard to say without checking out , may well be ABS pump which is expensive .Best bet is to get it scanned .Could be a faulty ABS sensor . A long shot , but with Renault electrics you never know , read somewhere a while back that a low car battery can cause this due voltage dropping too low .Wont cost anything to test or charge battery if needed ?
