Renault Clio 1.5 dci gearbox jammed at 55mph

started becoming noisy whilst travelling at about 55mph, then suddenly jammed locking the front left wheel. Almost crashed.

Checked whether it is the gearbox or possibly a driveshaft or wheel bearing collapsed / seized up ?

Hi, yes the gearbox or differential. The car does not move even in neutral even with the clutch in.Checked whether it is the gearbox or possibly a driveshaft or wheel bearing collapsed / seized up ?
The RAC had to drag it onto a towing dolly.
The car has only done 100k, it was quite dangerous having such a seizure at speed.

Very dangerous for that too happen as you say but need to get it jacked up and confirm exactly what failed and any subsequent damage . Then need to decide next move dependant on findings and estimated costs
