Renault Clio 2007n clio , since jamming seat belt in door, door will not open from the outside?

All other doors unlock but drivers door will only open from inside vehicle. Handlle has no click on outside when unlocked ever since trapping seat belt

Need to pull the door trim and check lock linkage and outside handle attachment . A good soaking of WD 40 at the same time wont go wrong .
