Renault Clio rear offside door will not open either with key fob or both handles 'help'

Car: Renault Clio
Variant: 1.2 Grande 5 door
Model Year: 2001
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
After many years of good service. The rear offside passenger door is now impossible to open. By either the central locking (key fob or central console switch). Or by the interior and exterior door release handles.
The other three doors and the boot open and close as normal.
I have tried pulling the knob on the door up. But it will not budge.
Any advise would be much appreciated.

You will need to strip down door trim and check linkage / lock assembly .

Has anyone got any ideas on how to strip down the door trim and check the linkage/lock assembly. When to be able to do this i think i would need the door to be open. As the Clio is due an MOT next week and i have been told that it will fail because the door will not open. I am open to any constructive ideas.
