Car: Renault Clio
Variant: 1.5 dci
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
hi
the problem i have is with the compuetr system on the dash that tells the driver all of the info on mpg, miles before fuel needed etc. most of the options work, such as the milage and how much fuel has been used. there are 1 or 2 two that dont such as the how many miles left before fuel is needed.

many thanks for taking the time to read

Could be the fuel level sender unit in the tank. The computer carries out various checks to make sure all the sensors it uses for information are working correctly (called sanity checks). If a sensor appears to be giving inaccurate information the relevant functions will be disabled. Most Renaults now use the injection computer to calculate how much fuel remains in the tank so the gauge may appear to be working.
