Renault 10 cant see milage light gone off only can see it when sunlight shines on it

cant see milage still cant see it when i put the lights on only show up when sunlight shines on it havnt got the foggest where to start look for the prob....any help much appreciated.

Is that the right model of car ? I can't remember the last time I seen a renault 10 . They stopped making them in 1971 or am I totally wrong ?
