Peugeot Rifter vehicle filled with smoke on tickover in layby. not repeatable

Pulled into layby, left engine running car filled with oily smoke.
Stopped engine and restarted, smoke cleared.
(Previously when car first started hours earlier, there was an under bonnet squeal and rattle like a loose metallic rattle as in dry bearing or loose component coming from passenger side top of engine above air intake. Stopped engine waited a few seconds and restarted - all appeared normal. Oil level NOT low).
No warning lights etc anywhere. PROBLEM IS NOT REPEATABLE???

With that year and still under warranty , check with your dealership if known fault or any TSBs that might cover this .

Getting it in and checked out means it is logged on their system and keeps you covered if no fault found and it later returns ,
