Peugeot Partner whining noise when de accelerating

My 2002 peugeot partner van has started to whine as I de accelerate. Can anyone help? Have recently changed the air flow mass meter but cannot see how this could be related. any suggestions please.

If it sounds like transmission whine , check g/box oil level .
