Hi Scott, Welcome to the site. I dont know the exact info you are after but i have a lot of experience with motorcycles and racing them so i might be able to help. Why are you going to the expense of getting a rack across the back? Is this something you really want? I think it would be much cheaper get a towbar fitted and get a cheap bike trailer, with a trailer at least you dont have to lift the bike too far. I have a VW Passat and i have a Witter tow bar fitted (£80) and a single bike trailer £100. Sounds like that could be a better option for you.

Hi Fluffyduck, thanks for the answer but problem is i live in central london, therefore no where to hide a trailer after race day. Best thing for me is to bring all inside and store in the shed. This way keeps the whole race package very compact. The bike is a tz250 ~ 110kg. Fits very nicely on a special made rack at the back of the car and have been using this way for a while, though only recently found about the 70kg vertical load limit, now very concerned that it may shear off. Thats why i'm thinking of getting a heavier tow bar or have this one braced with extra steel gussets welded on.

Good point, Why dont you do what my mate used to do with his gasgas ec300 and whip the front wheel off and put it in the back of the car/van? He got some funny looks when he turned up to events but it worked a treat. I have been looking around and i cant find any heavy weight towbars anywhere, have you tried calling Witter or Peugeot themselves?
