Peugeot 807 leaking injector :(

Car: Peugeot 807
Variant: 2.2 tdi executive
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi,

I have been informed that my injector/s are leaking Diesel & the mechanic says that it will cost over £1000 to get it fixed, the high cost is partly to do with the fact that the injector/s are going to cost in the region of £300 each depending on how many the car needs & the labour time to get to the injectors themselves.

Does anyone know if this is a realistic price, would it be better to get it fixed or just trade it in ?

Hope someone can help :)

Injectors are costly items to replace and thats probably a recon price, ask your mechanic if he can narrow it down to which injector,Iknow it,s tricky as they have all been in there for the same period of time possible same wear,If he can do a return spill check this will let him know which injector is failing, but it maybe a false economy, As future failure possible,In general I recommend replace the lot,Hope this helps.

Get a second opinion from a good local diesel specialist .
