Peugeot 407 brake light not working

Car: Peugeot 407
Variant: 2.2 executive
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
the offside brake light has started to post a "bulb faulty" warning on the system although the bulb is testing ok but not illuminating- could this be a fuse I am not aware of or is there some other explanation?

check the connector. you will probably find the earth pin has been getting hot. Fix is a modified bulb holder and additional earth cable. The connector may also need replacing along with pins.
