Peugeot 406 will not start on its own only with easy start

Car: Peugeot 406
Variant: 2.0hdi
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
i have a 2000 406 hdi with a bosch system, only 125000 miles on it the car will not start on normal turn over only with easy start or a bump down the road, i have checked tank pump & replaced glow plugs & glowplug relay only to be told it doesnt need them. i have also changed the hi pressure bosch pump with one off of a previous 406 i had so i know that to be working. it will not start even when its been running, once it is running it doesnt miss a beat & sounds realy sweet, i would really like to know what it could be

have a leak off check carried out on the injectors. you may be losing fuel pressure and there is a minimum pressure required before the car will start.

does it turn over fast enough might be a starter or battery problem, where the battery voltage is too low to switch the injectors cos the starter is pulling the battery voltage too low. try it with jump leads first
