Peugeot 406 warning light & bleepin on dashboard

Car: Peugeot 406
Variant: LX HDI (90)
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
I drove the car this morning, and every time i turned the steering wheel to the left or to the right a red exclamation sign in brackets appears on the dashboard and bleeps. I dont no much about cars but wondered if it was something to do with the power steering ?? maybe it needs fluid im not sure, it has never happened before and im now worried about getting back in it if it a major fault. Hope you can help !!

Best to get checked out ASAP .One fault that was common on that car was with crankshaft pulley failure , might be that or could be something else altogether . Can't ignore red warning lights though .

On some cars , that warning also can indicate low brake fluid level and the light comes on when turning as the level alters with the movement .Whether that applies to your car , I don't know ,but easy to check level under bonnet .
